The Cameron Gardens are open only twice a year to the public. During the month of April our annual Dig & Pot Commotions are held every Saturday and volunteers join us to dig and pot a variety of perennials, annuals and help divide dahlia tubers.
Volunteers are welcomed to take home plants for their own gardens and the rest are donated to Plant Sales held every year by Feline Friends, Kitten Rescue, Adopt-A-Pet, S.N.A.P. (Spay and Neuter All Pets), and For Heavens Sake Animal Rescue.
Then in September, the Saturday and Sunday before Labor Day, we hold Open Gardens. Anyone who enjoys flowers is welcomed to come and browse, paint or take pictures and visit in the beautiful setting because this is when the annuals are at their peak of blooming. Cameron Seeds will be for sale and there may even be small plant sale (both benefit Feline Friends--a local non-profit cat rescue group.)
Cameron Gardens supplies the cut flower bouquets at the Island Market at the intersection of Hwy 101 and Steamboat Island Road in Olympia, Washington.
