The Rufous hummers come in greater numbers to Cameron Gardens. They arrive in late February/early March
and need food and nesting material right away.

The male Rufous usually arrives first and stakes his claim. Some of the early blooming bushes here are the wild current and the almond tree which blooms in March. They couldn't do without the feeders.
